Do you have experience working with diesel engines? Looking for a new opportunity to continue working with diesel engines, vehicles and equipment? Williamson Employment services is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic in the Niles, MI area.

Duties and Responsibilities
Performs preventative maintenance services and inspects diagnoses and repairs vehicles and equipment.
Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of engine, electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
Estimates time and material costs on repairs and requisitions new parts.
Performs all work within Standard Repair Times (STRs).
Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Conducts safety checks on vehicles.
Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

Physical requirements
This position is in a workshop environment. Employees are required to lift heavy objects when needed and perform repetitive tasks.

2nd shift: 2 PM- 12:00 AM, Hours may vary, over-time as needed  

Minimum Qualifications
Experience At least 1 full year of Diesel Mechanic experience.
Education - high school diploma or GED is preferred
CDL license A or B Preferred
