Job Title: Account Manager / Customer Service

Job Summary:
Do you thrive in a busy work environment where you can utilize your skills as a multi-tasking ninja? This could be the job for you! A client in Kentwood is looking for a highly detailed Account Manager to handle customer service, client assistance, and the primary workload of logistics scheduling. Prior experience in the logistics field is not required, but could be beneficial. Not a fan of early mornings? This position is 9:30am-6:00pm Monday-Friday. This is a temp to hire opportunity that starts at $18.00 an hour but offers incremental increases through the first six months with the ability to reach just over $20 per hour in that timeframe.

Hours may vary.

*Communication with clients, carriers, shippers, and consignees
*Use various systems to provide shipping support to clients
*Generate appropriate daily, weekly, and monthly service, costs or claim reports
*Assure that best possible service is provided to clients while maintaining the highest margin and customer service standards

Required Skills/Qualifications:
*Associates Degree or equivalent or 6 months-1 year related experience
*Ability to read and interpret documents
*Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
*Knowledge of Windows-based applications, spreadsheet software

Job Requirements:
*Ability to apply common sense understanding
*Ability to communicate effectively
*Frequent sitting and occasional standing
